Book: Proverbs 1
“Let the Wise listen… and become wiser.”
Have you ever listened to someone and thought, “They are so wise!” Maybe people look and listen to you and think that.
Years ago I was the chapel Wholesale Seattle Seahawks Jerseys speaker at a beautiful children’s camp on an island on the West Coast Daily of Canada. For that week I had one of my sons as a camper and one who was too young to be a camper and so would be looked after by one of my sisters when I was speaking. In the evening, A she would put him down to bed as evening chapel was in session. By the time I would arrive ?leti?im up at the cabin he would be fast asleep and my sister would be reading a book to herself. One evening when I arrived back at the cabin my sister could hardly contain herself with laughter. She said, “Steve what have you been teaching your son?” Not knowing where she was coming from with that question I asked her to explain. My son had proudly informed my sister, as she was tucking him in to bed that Importance night that, “My dad knows everything about God!” Although I appreciated that my son looked up to me, I still have much to learn!
Even the wise (or those who we think are wise) still can become wiser! Do you want to be wiser? Do you need wisdom? What do you need wisdom for today? Ask God for that wisdom.
James 1:5 says,
“If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.”
Our Political God desires for us to ask him for wisdom so that he can give it. Take a few minutes and thank the Lord for his willingness to give you wisdom and then ask specifically for the wisdom you need.
