Book: Proverbs 29
“When people do not accept divine guidance, they run wild. But whoever obeys the law is joyful.”
Divine guidance is good! I am so thankful that God didn’t just create us and leave us on this earth to figure things out for ourselves. He desires the best for his creation, He desires the best for each one of us. Therefore, to those who will listen and accept He has and will give guidance so that we can be all that we were made to be.
Paul wrote in Ephesians 4:17-24
With the Lord’s authority I say this: Live no longer as the Gentiles do, for they are hopelessly confused. Their minds are full of darkness; they wander far from the life God gives because they have closed their minds and hardened their hearts against him. They have no sense of shame. They live for lustful pleasure and eagerly practice every kind of impurity.
But that isn’t what you learned about Christ. Since you have heard about Jesus and have learned the truth that comes from him, throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God — truly righteous and holy.
Take time in the next few days to read through the book of Ephesians taking note of the guidance that God has given through Paul to “God’s holy people in Ephesus, who are faithful followers of Jesus Christ.” (Eph.1:1b).
I like the statement in Ephesians 1:8 “He has showered His kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding.” This is the King we serve and we can be joyful in accepting His guidance!
