Book: Proverbs 18
“A lazy person is as bad as someone who destroys things.”
My personal vision statement is, “To move people towards what God desires of them…” One of the most frustrating things for me has been trying to coach and guide people who do not want to do what they need to. They often prefer to just dream that some day, some how, they will become different without putting any energy into the process.
God has given us each a period of time here on earth to use wisely but not waste. As a Kingdom builder I have been called to use my time for the expansion of His Kingdom. Therefore, if I am being lazy and not using it for Him I am actually stealing from Him. Someone might say, “Steve, that is being pretty harsh!” Think about it this way: If you were a business man who had several employees and one of them consistently would sleep on the job or wouldn’t even show up for work. Would you not feel that they were stealing time from you that you had paid them for? That time you will not be able to get back.
God has chosen you and provided all that you need to be involved in His Kingdom work today. Take time to thank Him for involving you in His work and ask God to show you how to use your time wisely for Him. For some it may mean going and having coffee with someone who needs a listening ear, for another it may be running their business well so that employees see God through you and still others may be called to go and share what God is doing with someone else. Whatever He calls you to do, go and do it to the best of your ability in God’s strength!
