Book: Proverbs 15
“The Lord is watching everywhere, keeping his eye on both evil and the good.”
Realizing that God sees everything perfectly, all the time, and without any hindrances should either bring relief or bring fear. Trying to hide from God like Adam & Eve did in the Garden of Eden or trying to run away from God like Jonah tried isn’t possible . On the other hand, the widow who gave her last two copper coins to the temple treasury was also seen. Psalm 33:13 says, “The Lord looks from heaven. He sees all the sons of men.” Therefore, we are being watched 24/7!
Not only does “He watch everyone closely, examining every person on earth” (Psalm 11:4) but He discerns everything. Nothing can be concealed from Him. He knows each person, better than they know themselves and He knows every action and reaction they take. He perfectly discerns what is good and what is evil.
To the person that fears God this verse should bring comfort but to the one who does not fear God, it should bring terror. Divine justice will take place in God’s timing. Each person is accountable to God and will have to stand before Him. He will acknowledge the good and what has been done for Him.
Is there anything in your life today that you are trying to hide from God? Since He knows all about it and sees it even more clearly than you do, take it to Him. Is there anything that you are trying to keep away from God? He knows all about it. Have you done something good but feel that no one seems to recognize it? Be sure that God has not missed seeing it.
