Book: Proverbs 5
“My son, pay attention to my wisdom; listen carefully to my counsel. Then you will show discernment, and your lips will express what you’ve learned.”
Each spring I plant vegetable seeds indoors ready to be transferred out into the garden when the soil is warm enough and the nights are not too cold. This being April, I have already started the process. As I plant tomato seeds I expect that a tomato plant will grow. That tomato plant, I expect will provide me with tomatoes to share with my family and friends. What I sow, I expect to reap.
It is important that we allow God’s seeds of wisdom to be planted into our lives. As we handle that wisdom carefully we will use it in our lives which demonstrates discernment. Finally, the “Verbal Fruit of Wisdom” is enjoyed by others when we are able to share it with others just at the right (ripe) time and the right (ripe) season for them. This is Kingdom building!
What wisdom has God given you recently and how have you being stewarding it carefully? Have you been able to share that wisdom with someone else?
